Yates to Praise Campus Response to Flood at All-Universitygathering; Photos from Address, Picnic Available on the Internet

Colorado State University President Albert C. Yates will today praise the campus community for its response to the flood that hit campus and set the goals for the upcoming year.

In a departure from tradition, Yates will deliver his annual state of the university address on the university’s historic Oval. The president’s speech will be followed by a free picnic for the campus community with entertainment and recreational activities. The speech, which will begin at 11:15 a.m., will be followed immediately by a photo of the faculty, students and staff gathered at the Oval, taken from the second floor of the administration building. Photographers interested in shooting this should contact Tom Milligan at (970) 491-6432. This photo, along with other photos from the gathering, will be available on the Internet for use by media in the late afternoon following the address.
