Colorado State University Denver Center Launches Evening Project Management Certification Series

Colorado State University’s Denver Center will launch a series of evening courses designed to teach working professionals all aspects of project management, with the first course beginning Feb. 26.

The project management certification series was created by Colorado State’s Denver Center in collaboration with the Project Management Institute’s Mile High Chapter in response to demand from working professionals for evening-based courses that emphasize project management skills.

The project management series is a comprehensive, integrated program that explores all aspects of the project management process, including risk management, planning, contracts and quality management. The series is intended for both the novice project manager and the seasoned professional who wish to improve their skills and/or prepare for the project management certification exam.

"This series offers a way to enhance the field of project management by using professionals who are using and fine-tuning their skills and techniques," said Dale Stewart, acting president of the institute’s Mile High Chapter and chairman of the board. "In addition, it is an invaluable program for anyone thinking of making a career change and entering into the exciting and growing field of project management."

The series offers two prerequisite courses and five core courses. Participants can register for individual courses or purchase a discounted package of the five core classes or the entire series. Cost of the program ranges from $225 to $600 per course, with series and group discounts available.
