Illusionist Craig Karges Headlines Colorado State University Family Weekend Oct. 23-25

Craig Karges, twice named Campus Entertainer of the Year, will perform his illusion show 6-8 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Lory Student Center Theatre. Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for Colorado State students and children 5-12 years old. The show is part of the activities planned for the annual Colorado State Family Weekend Oct. 23-25.

The theme of this year’s Family Weekend is "It’s Hollywood Time! Come Visit Your Star at Colorado State." All activities have a movie or television theme. Some of the festivities planned include a Colorado State Rams football game against Texas Christian University, "Footloose" dance and "Happy Days" family brunch.

Fri., Oct. 3

  • Family Weekend Registration, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Lory Student Center Sunken Lounge.
  • "Search for the Golden Ram" scavenger hunt, 1-3 p.m., Lory Student Center Sunken Lounge.
  • "Lights, Camera, Get Ready for Action!" Dean Nancy Hartley’s "Last" lecture, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Room 214 Lory Student Center.
  • "Hall of Stars" Colorado State family mixer, 4:30-6 p.m., Room 203-205 Lory Student Center.

Sat., Oct. 24

  • "Revenge of the Rams" football game, Rams vs. Texas Christian University, noon, Hughes Stadium. $18 per person for reserved seats on the west side of Hughes Stadium.
  • The Craig Karges Illusionist Show, 6-8 p.m., Lory Student Center Theater. $9 for adults and $6 for Colorado State students and children 5-12 years old.
  • "Footloose!" dance, 8-11 p.m., Lory Student Center Ballroom.

Sun., Oct. 25

  • "Little Rascals" field day, 9-11 a.m., Oval north of the Administration Building.
  • "Happy Days Cafe" Family Weekend brunch, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Lory Student Center West Ballroom. Tickets are $10.
