Colorado State and Community Homecoming Offers Something for Everyone Sept. 27-Oct. 15

Community members of all ages will celebrate 1999 Homecoming with a full lineup of festivities highlighted by a community barbeque, Rams football and the Homecoming Parade.

This year’s homecoming activities include a wide variety of all-community, all-alumni events that run Sept. 27-Oct. 15, with the Northern Colorado celebration in full-swing Oct. 2. The day begins with the traditional Homecoming 5K Race at 8 a.m. on the campus Oval, and a pancake breakfast hosted by the Colorado State Student Alumni Connection from 7-9 a.m. at the Alumni Center on Shields and Laurel streets.

The Community Homecoming Parade begins at 9 a.m. along the new parade route that runs south on Howes Street starting at West Mountain Avenue, turns west on Laurel Street, south on Shields Street and east on Plum Street to the finish on the Colorado State campus.

For football fans, the Colorado State Rams play the New Mexico State Aggies at 1 p.m. Oct 2. at Hughes Stadium. High school football games include Rocky Mountain High School vs. Loveland on Sept. 24, Fort Collins High School vs. Horizon on Oct. 1 and Poudre High School vs. Thornton on Oct. 15. All high school games begin at 7 p.m. on French Field at Rocky Mountain High School.
