Colorado State University Will be Bursting in Celebration During "Celebrate Colorado State!" Events Throughout April

Colorado State University is erupting in celebration as Green and Gold Week kicks off "Celebrate Colorado State!", a month-long series of events in April that commemorates Colorado State students, faculty, staff and alumni for outstanding achievements throughout the year.

This year, six main events rally around the theme, "Celebrate Colorado State!" Highlighting the events are the Honors Luncheon April 19, which will honor hundreds from the university community; and the Alumni Distinguished Awards Banquet April 20, which will recognize Colorado State alumni and supporters who have made an impact on the university.

Following is a calendar of "Celebrate Colorado State!" activities.

March 30 – April 8 Green and Gold Week

The Colorado State community will be building tradition and pride during this week-long celebration of the university. Music, games and entertainment, featuring comedian Tim Young and Dave Matthews Band member Tim Reynolds, are part of the festivities. April 3 State-Classified Staff Retirement and Awards Banquet

April 17 Academic Faculty and Administrative Professional Staff Retirement Banquet

4 p.m. Recognition Ceremony – North Ballroom, Lory Student Center 4:45 p.m. All-University Reception – Cherokee Park Room, Lory Student Center 5:15 p.m. President’s Dinner – West Ballroom, Lory Student Center Colorado State will formally recognize and thank academic faculty and administrative professional staff retirees during this event. April 19 Honors Luncheon

Noon- 1:30 p.m. – Lory Student Center Ballrooms

A highlight of "Celebrate Colorado State!," the Honors Luncheon will provide recognition for hundreds of outstanding university students, faculty, staff and alumni. Winners also will be announced for the following awards:

Outstanding Colorado State University graduates who have made an impact on the university will be honored at this event. Among the eighteen outstanding honorees are Kenneth Monfort, Sonny Lubick, Senator Penfield W. Tate III and Gene and Pat Markley. May 4 Zerunion

4:30- 7 p.m. Barbeque and Concert – Alumni Center
