International Children’s Carnival at Colorado State University Teaches Kids About Fun, Games, Music in Different Countries (2000)

The sixth International Children’s Carnival will run from 3-6 p.m. April 1 in the North Ballroom of the Lory Student Center on the Colorado State University campus. All activities are free and open to the public.

The theme of this year’s carnival is "Catch the World Dream." Traditional games, songs, dances and activities from around the world are planned for children ages 3-12. The event presents a unique and fun opportunity for both children and parents to learn about different customs and cultures.

The carnival also offers children a rare chance to experience authentic games that their peers play in other countries. The event typically attracts more than 300 children each year. Prizes will be awarded throughout the event.

The carnival is sponsored by Apartment Life and Off-Campus Student Services/Resources for Adult Learners. For more information, contact Jeannie Ortega at (970) 491-3533.
