Colorado State University Sets Fundraising Record of $37 Million

Colorado State University announced today that it raised more than $37 million in total gifts and pledges for the 2000-2001 fiscal year-an all-time record for the university and the continuation of an upward trend in donations.

The $37 million fundraising total, announced today in coordination with the university’s annual 1870 Dinner honoring university donors, continues a multi-year trend of record-setting fundraising at the university. Private gifts and pledges were received from 31,000 donors in fiscal year 2000-2001.

"We are grateful for the exceptional support our donors provided this year," said Jean Rahn, executive director of development. "Every gift enhances the high quality education we are able to provide our students."

Ninety-three percent of contributions in fiscal year 2000-2001 provided support for academic areas and 7 percent provided support for athletics.
