Chief Executive Officer of Level 3 Featured at Colorado State University’s Inaugural Denver Executive Luncheon Nov. 8

Jim Crowe, CEO of Level 3, will be the featured keynote speaker at Colorado State University’s first annual Denver Executive Luncheon on Nov. 8. Level 3 provides the underlying infrastructure for the Internet and communications industries.

The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Donald R. Seawall Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, 1050 13th St. Lunch will be served at noon and the keynote presentation will conclude at 1:15 p.m.

Crowe heads up the first international communications company to fully leverage the power of Internet technology. In 1997, he reshaped Level 3, which at that time was a diverse group of companies and holdings, into a single company with a core focus on communications and information services. Prior to assuming the leadership of Level 3, Crowe served as chairman of WorldCom.

Crowe currently serves on the board of directors of Level 3 Communications, Peter Kiewit Sons’, RCN Corporations and Commonwealth Telephone.

Walter Scott Jr., chairman of the board at Level 3 Communications and chairman emeritus at Peter Kiewit Sons’, will provide the introduction for Crowe’s presentation. He is an alumnus of Colorado State University who earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1953. Scott is a leading industrialist and philanthropist.

Colorado State is initiating the annual Denver Executive Luncheon to bring together corporate leaders, alumni, and those who have an interest in the university and current trends in business.
