Web Site Hosts Wealth of Agriculture Information, Research, Natural Resources and Related Topics

A new information Web site now is available for people interested in agriculture, including food and fiber production, and growth, open space, natural resources, wildlife habitat, research within Colorado and other related subjects.

The Web site features an agricultural dictionary, detailed background information about Colorado State University’s research and agricultural topics in general, facts about food and fiber production and links to the university’s research and outreach education branches. For example, people can learn about subjects as varied as how to prevent food poisoning, the latest satellite technology in food production and the basics of growing crops.

"As the state’s university, agricultural issues are part of our heritage and history and, obviously, part of our future. By using the latest technology to share information with people in Colorado and around the world, we continue our role as a provider of valuable information," said Tom Milligan, director of university communications and marketing.

Colorado State Ag News is available at www.agnews.colostate.edu or through a direct link from the university’s News & Media Information site on the home page at www.colostate.edu.
