Colorado State’s Veterinary Hospital Hosts First Aid Class for Cats and Dogs

The Student Chapter of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society at Colorado State University will be holding its annual fund raising First Aid Program for cats and dogs. The class will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 12 in Room 101 Pathology Building on Lake Street on the main campus.

The cost is $35 for early registration by Oct. 4 and $40 after that. Lunch is included. For more information about the event, contact Raegan Wells at (970)-231-3861.

Along with basic first aid care, the program will cover:

  • bandaging and how to make splints out of household items
  • how to transport injured animals
  • how to manage snakebites and other trauma
  • how to know when a pet is in need of assistance
