Halloween Will be a Hoot at Colorado State University’s Environmental Learning Center on Oct. 31

Looking for ghosts, ghouls and sweet treats on Halloween? Colorado State University’s Environmental Learning Center will host the second annual Halloween Hoot on Oct. 31. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend for a fun evening of trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, games and crafts.

The Halloween Hoot is open to the community from 5-8 p.m. at the Environmental Learning Center’s East Drake site at 2400 Ziegler Rd. in Fort Collins. The events will include trick-or-treating around the trail, activity booths including apple tasting, treats and other fun activities. The cost is $5 per person or $15 per family.

"This event will provide families an opportunity to have a safe Halloween experience while learning true stories of the natural creatures we associate with this day, like bats and spiders," said Brett Bruyere, director of the Environmental Learning Center at Colorado State. "The event will involve all of the usual traditional games and candy."

Reservations are not required, but recommended. For more information, contact the Environmental Learning Center at (970) 491-1661 or elc@cnr.colostate.edu.
