Students Asked to Submit Questions for Gen. Schwarzkopf Speech Nov. 6 at Colorado State University

Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf will answer questions from Colorado State University students following his speech Nov. 6 in Moby Arena.

Colorado State students are urged to submit questions for Schwarzkopf by sending an e-mail to ascsuout@lamar.colostate.edu or by dropping them off at Campus Informational Services in the Lory Student Center. All questions must be submitted by noon Nov. 1.

Tickets are sold out, but interested parties may be put on a waiting list by calling (970) 491-6444. Participants may not bring food, water, beverages, cameras or recording devices into Moby Arena.

Schwarzkopf graduated from West Point in 1956 and completed two tours in Vietnam. In 1988, Schwarzkopf acquired the rank of full general and two years later successfully coordinated the efforts of all Allied forces in Operation Desert Storm.

Schwarzkopf has been awarded five Distinguished Service Medals, three Silver Stars, the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the National Order of the Legion of Honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and decorations from the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In 1992, Schwarzkopf wrote an autobiography, "It Doesn’t Take a Hero."
