Colorado State University Summer Session Offers Increased Convenience and Selection

As the spring semester comes to an end, registration for summer courses now is being offered at Colorado State.

Summer school is a time of open enrollment and there are no formal admission requirements. Students of all class levels can register at any time and students can register up to the day that classes begin.

Summer courses are accelerated and students, and community members who have not been formally accepted to Colorado State can enroll. Students who are on academic probation or who have been dismissed from the university also can enroll in summer classes to improve their GPAs.

Students who are not currently enrolled at Colorado State need to complete a summer application and obtain their Personal Access Code, or PAC number, for registration purposes. For these students, there is a short on-line application available. All students must register for summer classes using Colorado State’s online registration service, RAMweb. RAMweb can be accessed through the Colorado State University home page at www.colostate.edu.

The summer session provides students an opportunity to lighten their course loads during the fall and spring, improve their GPAs and take advantage of the compressed terms. Colorado State is offering 500 courses this summer to help students further their academic careers.

There are three four-week terms and an eight-week term (see dates below), allowing students to take summer classes and still engage in work and other activities.

  • First four-week term: May 19-June 13
  • Second four-week term: June 16-July 11
  • Eight-week term: June 16-August 8
  • Third four-week term: July 14-August 8
