Colorado State University’s School of Social Work Presents ‘international Social Work Day’

An all-day conference that will bring participants insight into the field of social work around the world will be presented Oct. 23 by Colorado State University’s School of Social Work.

"International Social Work Day" will focus on the work social workers are doing around the world and how to become involved internationally in the field. Participants will find out about social work opportunities in the United Kingdom, learn about social work in the Peace Corps and meet international students studying social work at Colorado State.

In addition, participants will hear what faculty members have done internationally and engage with them in a panel discussion, as well as explore principles of non-violent and peaceful resolutions.

The conference is open to the public and registration is free. The conference is from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Room 230 Lory Student Center.
