Media Advisory: Colorado State University’s President to Discuss Higher Education Funding, University Role During Glenwood Springs Visit

Colorado State University President Larry Penley, along with his wife, Dr. Yolanda Penley, will be available to visit with area media on Friday, March 12 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Glenwood Springs City Council Chambers, 101 West 8th Street, as part of President Penley’s visit to communities in the Western Slope. Connie Calaway of Carbondale, a member of the Colorado State University System Board of Governors, also will visit with media at that time. President Penley will discuss the university’s role and mission, including Cooperative Extension, Agricultural Experiment Station and State Forest Service outreach programs, along with higher education funding as part of the state’s overall budget.
