COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY WELCOMES AUTHOR PAUL ROGAT LOEB

FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State University community welcomes author Paul Rogaet Loeb for a guest lecture and book signing on Oct. 7, from 7-9 p.m. in the East Ballroom of the Lory Student Center on campus.

Loeb, author of "Soul of a Citizen" and "Generation at the Crossroads," will discuss the struggle of the current student generation to find their place in a complex world. Referencing his books and 30 years of researching citizen involvement, Loeb will also discuss how ordinary citizens can make their voices heard and actions count when people are told that nothing will make a difference.

Loeb, who has lectured at more than 300 college campuses, has written about social involvement for The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Parents Magazine, Christian Science Monitor and the International Herald Tribune. He has also been interviewed on several prominent media outlets, including CNN, PBS, C-SPAN, NBC-TV, the BBC and Canadian and Australian radio.

Loeb will highlight the themes in his new book, "The Impossible Will Take a Little While: Hope in a Time of Fear," which was released this fall.

Loeb’s lecture is sponsored by the Lory Student Center, Campus Activities and the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement. Admission for the guest lecture is free.

For more information, call SLCE at (970) 491-1682 or visit Loeb’s Web site at www.soulofacitizen.org.
