Colorado State’s College of Natural Resources Celebrates Homecoming’s Â??spirit of Adventure’ with Open House Oct. 1

Join Colorado State University’s College of Natural Resources for a celebration of this year’s homecoming theme, "The Spirit of Adventure," during an open house Oct. 1.

The celebration will take place from 1-4 p.m. at the Natural Resources Building and Water Plaza. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the College of Natural Resources as well as meet students, faculty and alumni. The event is free and open to the public.

The schedule of events includes:

–     Live music by Wildwood Holler! from 1-4 p.m., Water Plaza.

–     Get to know College of Natural Resources majors, minors and careers from  

1:30-2 p.m. in Room 127 Forestry Building.

–     College of Natural Resources alumni panel from 2:10-3 p.m. in Room 109 Natural Resources building.

–     College of Natural Resources building tours from 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. leave from the Natural Resources Atrium.

–     Student organizations and environmental learning booths and activities from 1-4 p.m. on the Water Plaza.

–     Meet with Department of Natural Resources faculty from 2-4 p.m.

The event also will feature drawings for prizes such as Colorado State football and volleyball tickets and a hot air balloon ride from Windtracker Balloon Adventures. The drawing will be held at 3:30 p.m.

"The open house will be a great opportunity for prospective students and the community to join the celebration and learn more about the many exciting educational opportunities in all areas of natural resources and to meet our faculty who are recognized worldwide for their pioneering research that addresses society’s most critical environmental and natural resource issues," said College of Natural Resources Dean Joyce Berry.
