Colorado State Recruiting Members for Stormwater Advisory Committee; First Meeting Oct. 28

Colorado State University is assembling a Stormwater Advisory Committee to develop mechanisms to involve and receive feedback from the campus community in the development and implementation of a stormwater management plan for Colorado State. Participation on the committee is open to all interested parties and will entail meeting at least once per year.

On July 21, 2004, Colorado State received a permit authorizing the discharge of stormwater and allowable non-stormwater discharges through its municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4). The permit is in accordance with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Stormwater Management Program requirements and complies with the provisions of both the Colorado and Federal Water Quality Control Acts.

In compliance with the MS4 permit, the university is creating the advisory committee. Anyone interested in participating in the Stormwater Advisory Committee should contact Carol Dollard at (970) 491-0151.  The first meeting of the committee is scheduled for Thursday, October 28, from 8-9 a.m. in the Facilities Management East Conference Room.
