Ceos of the Group Inc. and Mcwhinney Enterprises to Speak at Colorado State’s College of Business March 1

Larry Kendall, Chief Executive Officer of the Group Inc and Chad McWhinney, Chief Executive Officer of McWhinney Enterprises, will present "The Power of Vision" at Colorado State University’s College of Business Great Entrepreneur Speaker Series.

The event will be held at 5 p.m. March 1 in the Clark Building, Room A102 on the Colorado State campus. The event is free and open to the public.  

Kendall has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry and is currently chairman and one of the founding partners of The Group Inc., a real estate firm owned by its staff and sales associates. In 2002, "Realtor Magazine" named The Group "the most productive real estate company in the United States."

Kendall received the "Collins Award" in 1997 for his leadership and service to the Fort Collins community. He is engaged in many community activities including chairman of the Colorado State University Development Council. Kendall and his wife Pat were honored with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society "Hope Award" in 2001.

McWhinney co-founded McWhinney Enterprises with his brother and father in 1990. As principal and CEO of McWhinney Enterprises, he is responsible for establishing and implementing the company’s mission, vision and core values, as well as overseeing the company’s strategies and establishing new business opportunities. McWhinney’s leadership has helped shape the company into a leading real estate development and asset/property management organization.

McWhinney was named 9News Leader of the Year in 2004 by TIAA-CREF and the Colorado Leadership Alliance. He was also appointed to serve on the Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System.

McWhinney is involved in charitable and civic activities in the communities in which he does business. He serves as a director for Guaranty Bank and Trust Company, the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation, and the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties.
