Colorado State University Bookstore Hosts Author Day for Community

Colorado State University hosts Northern Colorado’s largest author gathering for community members at the 8th Annual Poudre Valley Author Day Reception from 10 a.m.-noon April 16 at the Colorado State Bookstore on the main level of the Lory Student Center on campus.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view more than 500 local authors’ books on display, as well as meet many of the authors. All authors are from Northern Colorado, including 320 from the Colorado State community.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for people to read the talent and creativity that exists within their own community," said Susan Stuessie, general book manager at the Colorado State Bookstore. "The local authors also will benefit from the opportunity to meet with the community and supporters of their work."

A variety of books will be available for people of all ages, including fine poetry, local history, children’s stories and equine training. All books will be accessible for viewing and also will be available for purchase throughout the year.

All events are free and open to the public. Free parking is available at Laurel and Meldrum streets north of campus.
