Media Advisory: Csu Announces Actions on Alcohol Task Force Recommendations Today

COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY TO ANNOUNCE ACTIONS ON ALCOHOL

TASK FORCE RECOMMENDATIONS AT PRESS CONFERENCE TODAY, MAY 25

WHAT:

Colorado State University President Larry Edward Penley will announce the implementation of actions in direct response to recommendations from the university’s Alcohol Task Force at a press conference today.  

WHEN/WHERE:

The press conference will begin at 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Administration Building on the south end of the Oval at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

DETAILS:

The Alcohol Task Force, led by Lt. Gov. Jane Norton, presented recommendations in its final report to Penley on Feb. 1. University administrators have spent time since then thoroughly evaluating and examining the recommendations in relation to potential impacts, resources needed and timing issues to ensure that each adopted recommendation has maximum positive results. The actions announced today will be phase I of the task force-related implementations, with additional actions to be announced over the next year. Decisions regarding Hughes Stadium will be included in today’s announcement.
