Colorado State President Penley To Address University Challenges, Accomplishments At Annual Address: Katrina Relief Opportunities Available To Public, University at Event

WHAT:     Colorado State University President Larry Edward Penley will give his annual Fall Address, discussing the current state of the university including challenges the university faces, accomplishments of the past year, and his vision for the future. An opportunity to support Katrina Relief efforts also will be available. Entertainment will be provided by university bands.

WHEN/     

WHERE:      Festivities begin at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, September 8 on the University’s historic Oval.

DETAILS:     Media are invited to attend the address. Please RSVP by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at (970) 491-6009 or dellrae.moellenberg@colostate.edu so that special arrangements for parking can be made. The Oval will be closed to all other traffic throughout the day. A multiple outlet box will be provided. Print-quality photographs, broadcast-quality audio clips and a summary of Penley’s speech will be available for media to download late in the afternoon on the day of the event at www.colostate.edu. The event will provide members of the Fort Collins and Colorado State communities the opportunity to hear Penley discuss the status of the university’s strategic planning process. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, retirees and friends of the university community are invited. An all-university picnic for students, staff and faculty will begin following Penley’s address and conclude at 1:30 p.m. entertainment by the Colorado State jazz combo.
