Colorado State University Rams Headed to Inaugural Poinsettia Bowl December 22

Colorado State University’s football team is headed to the first annual San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. The Rams will take on the U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen in Colorado State’s ninth bowl appearance in the last 11 seasons and 11th in school history. The game will be played Dec. 22 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego at 7:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. MT.

The Poinsettia Bowl will be the first meeting between Colorado State and Navy.

Students can purchase discounted tickets for $18 from the McGraw Athletic Center Office until 5 p.m. Dec. 16. To receive the discount price, students must have a valid Colorado State University student ID and a voucher that can be downloaded at www.CSUBOWL.com or picked up at the information desk in the Lory Student Center.

The Colorado State University Admissions Office also will be hosting a special recruitment program for San Diego – area high school and community college students interested in attending and learning more about Colorado State. The program is being held in conjunction with the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. The information session is scheduled from 7 – 9 p.m. on Dec. 21 at the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina, New York/Orlando Room, 333 West Harbor Drive in San Diego.

Colorado State representatives will be on hand to provide information regarding academic programs, admission requirements, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, housing, and student life. High school seniors and transfer students who are ready to apply for admission are encouraged to bring their completed applications between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. prior to the start of the program. Students will learn of the status of their application at the end of the program.
