National Western Stock Show’s Colorado State University Day Features Photos with Live Cam Mascot

Colorado State University day at the National Western Stock Show, slated for Saturday, Jan. 14, will feature a rodeo at 11 a.m. and special attractions at the university’s booth in the Hall of Education.  

National Western and Colorado State University fans alike can stop by the booth for a photo with Cam the Ram. The Alumni Association will have the university’s mascot, a rambouillet ram, on hand from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the booth for photos with Ram fans. The photos will be available online.

Also at the university’s Colorado State Day booth:

– Members of the Student Alumni Connection, Alumni Relation’s student program, will provide Ram sticker tattoos, free of charge.

– A photo display of distinguished alumni.

– A sneak preview of what the university’s new alumni and visitor’s center will look like.

– Information about future alumni and friends events in the Denver area.

The university’s booth is located in the southeast corner of the third floor of the Expo Hall.

The Department of Animal Sciences also will present the Livestock Leader of the Year award. The award is given annually at the National Western on Colorado State University Agricultural Outreach Day to recognize people who have made outstanding contributions to the state’s livestock industry.

The Livestock Leader award was presented during the annual College of Agricultural Sciences social Saturday afternoon. The social is in conjunction with Colorado State University Agricultural Outreach Day at the National Western Stock Show.
