University Scholarship Created for Colorado Community and Junior College Transfer Students

Colorado State University recently created a new scholarship opportunity for transfer students. The Colorado Two-Year College Merit Scholarship will be awarded to students transferring from Colorado community or junior colleges to Colorado State. The $1,000 scholarship is renewable for a second year at Colorado State, if renewal requirements are met, for a total award of $2,000.

A limited number of scholarships are available. To be considered for the award, transfer students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

– be transferring to Colorado State from a Colorado community or junior college at the time of application;

– have a 3.5 or better cumulative GPA;

– be admitted to Colorado State by June 1 for the fall semester; and

– be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

The application for admission will serve as the application for the scholarship. For more information, contact Heather Esterday, scholarship coordinator for Student Financial Services, at or visit the Student Financial Services Web site at
