81 Named Colorado State University President’s Outstanding Scholars, Offered Scholarships for Fall 2007 Semester
Eighty-one outstanding students from around Colorado have been selected as 2006 President’s Outstanding Scholars at Colorado State University. The students, who recently completed their junior year of high school, will be offered a one-time, $500 scholarship if they enroll at Colorado State in fall 2007.
The President’s Outstanding Scholar program recognizes students who have shown evidence of academic achievement, leadership and service. Only students who have scored in the top 1 percent on the PSAT or who are nominated by their high-school counselors are invited to apply for the award. Students need not have expressed previous interest in Colorado State.
"Colorado State University is pleased to honor these exceptional Colorado students for their academic achievements, leadership abilities and service to school and community," said Colorado State President Larry Edward Penley.
In addition to the scholarship award, students also are honored with a reception and a certificate.
