Colorado State University Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Ag Day Barbecue with Great Food, Football Season Kick-Off

WHAT: Colorado State’s annual Ag Day barbecue celebrates its 25th year with the state’s greatest outdoor barbecue featuring quality Colorado food products. Agricultural displays and activities will also be highlighted.

WHEN/WHERE: Noon-2:15 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the 3 p.m. kickoff of the Rams’ first 2006 home football game against the Weber State University Wildcats. The event will take place in the parking lot south of Hughes Stadium.

DETAILS: The Ag Day celebration is hosted by Colorado agricultural organizations and associations, along with Colorado State’s College of Agricultural Sciences. About 3,500 people attend each year. All proceeds go to scholarships for students in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Colorado-grown flowers also will be available, and a drawing from Ag Day barbecue ticket stubs will take place for two round-trip tickets on Frontier Airlines to any destination in the continental United State, Alaska or Mexico.
