Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity: Colorado State University to Host Ram Appreciation Day at Noon Friday on Denver’s 16th Street Mall

WHAT:

Colorado State fans are urged to wear green Friday in downtown Denver for a noon pep rally celebrating Ram pride before Saturday’s Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown. The Colorado State University Rams will take on the University of Colorado Buffaloes at 3 p.m. Saturday at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver.

WHEN/WHERE:

Noon to 1 p.m., Skyline Park, 1601 Arapahoe St. behind the D&F Tower along Denver’s 16th Street Mall

WHO:

The event will be emceed by Colorado State alumnus and Denver’s CBS4 news anchor Jim Benemann. CAM the Ram, the university’s marching band, university administrators and Paul Kowalczyk, Colorado State athletic director, are among those who will attend the event.

DETAILS:

Ram Appreciation Day is one of many activities celebrating Ram pride this weekend before the big game. Colorado State alumni, fans and friends who attend the pep rally will also get opportunities to win T-shirts and tickets to the game.
