Media Advisory: Penley to Discuss Challenges and Future at the Annual State-Of-The-University Address Thursday Sept. 14

MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY

WHAT:    

Colorado State University President Larry Edward Penley will give his annual Fall Address, discussing the current state of the university including challenges the university faces, accomplishments of the past year and his vision for the future.

Entertainment will be provided by university bands. The university’s colleges will provide special displays at the event.

WHEN/WHERE:     

Festivities begin at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 on the university’s historic Oval. Parking for the media will be provided on Isotope Drive, on the south side of the Oval. Media must arrive by 11:25 a.m. to park on the Oval as it will be closed to all traffic at 11:30 a.m. sharp.

Media are invited to attend the address. Please RSVP by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at (970) 491-1543 or Jennifer.Dimas@colostate.edu so that special arrangements for parking can be made. The Oval will be closed to all other traffic throughout the day.

A multiple outlet box will be provided. Print-quality photographs, broadcast-quality audio clips and a summary of Penley’s speech will be available for media to download late in the afternoon on the day of the event at www.colostate.edu.
