Media Advisory: Local Produce and Bands Featured on Colorado State University Campus

WHAT: Colorado Home Grown features local foods and bands

WHEN/WHERE: from 4:45 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, at Braiden, Corbett, Durrell, Ingersoll and Newsom Dining Centers

DETAILS: The Colorado Homegrown menu features Colorado specials including barbeque ribs, honey-smoked salmon, pico de gallo, beef and buffalo hot dogs, pork green chili, chicken chimichangas, rainbow tortilla chips, southwest pimento cheese spread and strawberry tres leches cake.

Local bands will perform at each dining center during the event. Grup Aztlan will play tex-mex at Braiden. White Water Ramble, a jam grass band, will play at Corbett. Alternative rock will be featured at Durrell with Vice I Admire. Peace Officer will play indie rock and reggae music at Ingersoll. Victor Barnes will play insurgent bluegrass at Newsom.

Students, faculty and staff with meal plans will be admitted for one meal swipe. Colorado State University community members without meal plans can pay cash at Durrell and Corbett Dining Centers. Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $7.90 for adults and $5.20 for children under the age of ten. Children younger than 5-years-old are free. Convenience Accounts are also accepted at all dining centers.
