Media Advisory: Fort Collins Firemen and Police Trade in Their Uniforms for Csu Hockey Jerseys to Support the Sam Spady Foundation

WHAT:     

The Poudre Fire Authority and police from Fort Collins and Colorado State University will face off in a hockey match to raise money for the Sam Spady Foundation and CSU hockey team.

WHEN/WHERE:

The event starts at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at EPIC, 1801 Riverside Ave. in Fort Collins.

DETAILS:     

Patty Spady, Samantha Spady’s mother, will drop the game puck and will then watch her first hockey game.

Tickets are $5 for the general public and $3 for students and kids, but donations beyond the ticket price are accepted. All proceeds go to the Sam Spady Foundation and the CSU hockey team.

In addition to the hockey game, the evening will include a silent auction featuring two framed pieces of artwork by Sam Spady and a hockey stick signed by Colorado Avalanche team members. Events also include a mixed Police-Firemen Honor Guard presentation, a K-9 unit "take-down" and drug sniffing demonstration and a fireman outfit demonstration with a dress race involving the audience.
