Media Advisory Â?? Colorado State Students Present Fort Collins Sustainable Tourism Packages Dec. 7

WHAT: Colorado State University’s Department of Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism is partnering with the Fort Collins Convention and Visitors Bureau in hosting a forum featuring sustainable tourism development in Fort Collins. Colorado State students will present their sustainable tourism package proposals at this year’s event, "Uniquely Fort Collins."

WHEN: 5 p.m.-7:15 p.m. Dec. 7, 2006.

WHERE: West and Middle Ballrooms in Colorado State’s Lory Student Center.

DETAILS: Sustainable tourism packages ranging from a wine and cheese dinner, linking Colorado Wine tasting with local foods, to a 36-hour tour of Fort Collins on a bike will be presented by the students.

As part of the International Trends and Issues course, students have been working this semester on projects to promote Fort Collins as a sustainable tourism destination. Their projects aim to link local businesses within a package tour to be potentially used by the Fort Collins Convention and Visitors Bureau for tourists and locals to Fort Collins.
