Future of Real Estate Technology Subject of Colorado State University Forum on March 1

Jim Young, a founding partner of Realcomm, the world’s largest and most recognized conference on technology for the commercial real estate industry, will speak at the Colorado State University Everitt Real Estate Center quarterly event on March 1.

Young will speak from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Fort Collins Hilton, 425 W. Prospect Road, in Fort Collins. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m.

Young has more than 13 years of experience in real estate and technology. As president of The Jamesan Group, REApplications, he has been involved in creating some of the largest integrated information systems for the industry and is a regularly featured columnist in industry publications such as the National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives.

The Everitt Real Estate center in Colorado State’s College of Business was established in 2000 within the Department of Finance and Real Estate. The center provides service, academic foundation, research, educational and employment opportunities for the community, faculty, staff and students.

Real estate professionals are invited to purchase memberships in the center. Paid memberships ranging from associate member to lifetime member include free admission to quarterly events, continuing education credits for brokers, opportunities to attend private events, interdisciplinary education and networking and a single-point-of-contact for university resources.

Students who complete degrees in the finance and real estate concentrations at Colorado State’s College of Business work in areas of real estate including lending, managing commercial properties, analyzing mortgage backed securities for mutual funds or other financial institutions, underwriting mortgage loans, risk management and managing real estate portfolios.
