Colorado State Entrepreneurship Center to Host Speaker Series

Libby Cook, the co-founder of Wild Oats Markets, will speak at Colorado State University’s College of Business on Wednesday as part of the college’s "Great Entrepreneur Speaker Series" during National Entrepreneurship Week.

Cook will speak on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 4:10 p.m. in Room 170 in Rockwell Hall on the Colorado State campus.

National Entrepreneurship Week starts on Monday, Feb. 26 and goes through Friday, March 2. The speaker series looks to bring experienced entrepreneurs to Colorado State to share their stories with students.

Other prominent entrepreneurs are scheduled to speak during the Entrepreneurship week:

-George Moore, president and CEO of BrandHouse TV will speak on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 9:30 a.m. in Rockwell 119.

-Todd Massey, chairman and CTO of Privacy Networks will speak on Thursday, March 1 at 12:30 p.m. in Rockwell 165.

Moore is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and received his MBA from Harvard School of Business. He has worked as senior principal for Accenture, an international consulting firm. He was also one of the original architects and developers for Shaquille O’Neal’s Internet footwear and apparel company, DUNK.net.

Cook has been practicing corporate and international law for 24 years. She co-founded and served as executive vice president for Wild Oats Markets, the second largest natural foods supermarket chain in North America. Cook also founded the Renaissance school in Boulder, which is a private middle school based on the Waldorf philosophy. She has traveled abroad extensively and has directed youth community service projects in Central and South America.

Massey is a Colorado State alumnus and has worked for several technology companies in the Silicon Valley. Before starting Privacy Networks, he co-founded Surefire Verification. Massey has also developed several successful software products.
