WHAT/WHEN:

Jane Goodall, world renowned conservationist, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and U.N. Messenger of Peace, will speak at Colorado State University at 7:30 p.m. April 25 at Moby Arena on campus.

In addition, Goodall will hold a session with Colorado State Roots & Shoots students from 2 -3 p.m. April 25 at Colorado State’s University Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington in Fort Collins. The session will take place outside on the north side of the UCA. In case of inclement weather, the event will move inside to the Runyan Concert Hall in the UCA. The press is welcome to attend. Immediately after Goodall’s session, a press conference will be held from 3-3:30 p.m. at the same location. Flash photography is prohibited at both the student session and press conference.

Media must RSVP and have filled out the Jane Goodall Institute’s terms of use paperwork by 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, for attendance to the press conference and to the address. This paperwork is available by contacting Jennifer Dimas at (970) 491-1543 or Jennifer.Dimas@colostate.edu.

The press conference will be held from 3 to 3:30 p.m. at Colorado State’s University Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington in Fort Collins. The lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Moby Arena on campus.

Only individuals with valid media credentials are allowed to cover the press conference and Goodall’s lecture. Each photographer must complete a brief Jane Goodall Institute Terms of Use form prior to covering the lecture. The form must be returned to Jennifer Dimas by 5 p.m. April 24. Flash photography is prohibited after the first three minutes of Goodall’s lecture.

For the student session at 2 p.m. and press conference 3 p.m., media will be required to check-in at Colorado State’s University Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington. Media also will be required to check-in before the 7:30 p.m. lecture at the media table located at the North entrance to Moby Arena at the doors farthest west. Preceding the address, participating media will be shown to reserve seating.

Special seating for media needing access to the multiple outlet box has been arranged.
