Ag Day Fast Approaching; Some Game/Barbecue Ticket Packages Still Available

Tickets for the 26th annual Ag Day barbecue, a pre-game feast featuring Colorado-grown fare from 10-11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Hughes Stadium against the Cal-State Golden Bears are going fast. There are also a few remaining game and barbecue ticket packages still available.

Ag Day will take place in the parking lot south of Hughes Stadium, before the Colorado State Rams take on the University of California Golden Bears. Tickets for the Ag Day barbeque are $15 or $45 for both a barbecue and game ticket, and are available online only by logging on to www.agsci.colostate.edu, or http://ticketswest.rdln.com/EventDetails.aspx?evt=56665.

All orders placed after Aug. 29 may be picked up at the Ag Day ticket office in the Shepardson Building on the main campus of Colorado State, or on Sept. 8 at the Ag Day will-call office south of Hughes Stadium in the Ag Day area.

The Ag Day barbecue is a tradition that honors the university’s heritage and all proceeds of the barbecue fund scholarships to students of the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State. It will feature Colorado commodities such as turkey, lamb, beef, pork, beans, potatoes, apples, dairy products, wheat bread, melons, water, soft drinks and Colorado-brewed beer.

Colorado-grown flowers will be available and a drawing from Ag Day barbecue ticket stubs will take place for two round-trip Frontier Airlines tickets. Agricultural activities and displays will also be on hand.

For more information, call (970) 491-6497, however no ticket orders can be placed over the telephone.
