Colorado State University’s mascot, CAM the Ram, has a new ride. CAM’s new trailer and truck were donated to CAM and the Ram Handler program by the Henry/Maxey family and Davidson Gebhardt.

CAM, the Ram Handlers and the new truck and trailer will debut at this year’s Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown events starting on Aug. 31.

CAM will arrive in style for the Green and Gold Day events in Denver on Aug. 31 in his new truck and trailer. CAM will join alums, friends and fans at the Denver Ram Rally from noon – 1 p.m. at the Skyline Park on the 16th St. Mall.

CAM will be at the Ram Pep Rally from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at LoDo’s Bar & Grill in Denver; and on Sept. 1 he will be at Colorado State’s Alumni Association’s pre-game tailgate at INVESCO Field from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.

CAM is also leading the CSU players onto the field for the game on Saturday morning at INVESCO Field.

CAM the Ram is the official mascot of Colorado State University. He is named for Colorado Agricultural and Mechanical College – the university’s former name – and he is a Rambouillet ram. CAM lives at the Agricultural Research, Development and Education Center in Fort Collins and makes regular visits to university events and local schools.

The Ram Handlers are a group of eight Colorado State students who volunteer their time to train and show CAM at his various events around the state.

CAM the Ram and the Ram Handlers are a program of the Alumni Association. To schedule an appearance of CAM at your event or to support the Ram Handler program, contact (970) 491-6533.
