WHAT: The final day of evaluating the performance of annual flower cultivars at Colorado State University’s Annual Flower Trial Garden.

TIME/DATE: From 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, Sept. 7.

PLACE: Annual Flower Trial Garden, on Lake Street in between College Avenue and Remington Street, Fort Collins, Colo.

DETAILS: Several evaluators will be at Colorado State University’s trial grounds, which were established to evaluate the performance of annual flower cultivars under Colorado’s unique environmental conditions. The outdoor trial garden consists of approximately 1,100 varieties of annual bedding plants across more than 20,000 square feet of open space.

Approximately 22 plant and seed companies are participating in this year’s trials at Colorado State University. University and industry associates evaluate the performance of these cultivars on the basis of plant vigor, uniformity, floriferousness and tolerance to environmental and biotic stresses.
