Colorado State University Veterinary Students Host Conference for Cat Owners

Colorado State University’s student chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners is hosting the annual Cat Care Conference from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9 at the university’s Veterinary Medical Center, 300 West Drake Road. The conference will be held in the Junior Lecture Hall.

The free conference, which includes breakfast and lunch, features lectures on feline behavior.

     Topics include:

–     A lecture on cat-cat interrelationships to help pet owners learn about how cats create their own hierarchies and interact with each other in a multiple cat household.

–     Information about chemicals and substances in the common household that are toxic to cats.

–     Common medical and behavior related conditions for geriatric cats and kittens.  

–     A lecture on feline arthritis and pain management.

While this event is free, donations are welcome and support Fort Collins Cat Rescue.
