Media Advisory: Plant Select Explores Community Gardening Opportunities

More than 60 managers and operators of Plant Select approved public demonstration gardens, Colorado State University Extension agents, master gardeners and nursery professionals from around the Rocky Mountain Region will gather to learn more about Plant Select public garden opportunities and challenges and the benefits that these gardens bring to communities.

WHEN/WHERE:

From 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Denver Botanic Gardens.

DETAILS:

The event includes tours of Plant Select garden displays at Denver Botanic Gardens, educational speakers and more than 8,000 plants that will be distributed to demonstration garden operators for planting in public displays. Speakers will address a number of issues including plant collecting and propagation, xeriscape gardening and gardening in the mountains.
