Colorado State Ag Day Website Is Launched

Making plans to attend this year’s Colorado State University Ag Day is as easy as going to www.CSUAgDay.com. The annual event, hosted by Colorado State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Colorado agricultural organizations and associations, is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, prior to the home football opener against Sacramento State University. The event will be held in the south parking lot at Hughes Stadium on Overland Trail between Drake and Prospect roads in Fort Collins.

The new website, launched last month, offers links to buy tickets to the barbecue, which will feature a wide selection of Colorado-grown fare, and combination barbecue-football game tickets. Ag Day barbecue-only tickets ordered online are $16.50 including a service fee, while mail-in barbecue tickets are $20. Combination barbecue and game tickets ordered online are $41.50. Mail-in barbecue and game tickets are $45. Visit www.CSUAgDay.com for more details.

All proceeds from the event will fund scholarships to students in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State. A dozen $2,000 scholarships were handed out to deserving students last year.

The new website provides a history of the event, directions, the 2007 scholarship recipients, and photos of last year’s Ag Day. "The launch of our new Ag Day website is an exciting time for everyone associated with the event," said Dennis Lamm, coordinator of the Ag Day event and professor in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State. "Hopefully, our customers will find it user-friendly and one-stop shopping for everything they desire regarding Ag Day. After 27 years, Ag Day continues to evolve, and this should add convenience for all our supporters."

Ag Day is traditionally a sell-out, so purchase tickets soon at www.CSUAgDay.com.
