‘Explore Mind, Body, Spirit’ at Colorado State University’s 5th Annual Holistic Fair Feb. 9

Colorado State University Wellness Programs will hold the 5th annual holistic fair, "Explore Mind, Body, Spirit," Monday, Feb. 9, at the university’s Lory Student Center.

The fair is designed to enhance the knowledge of Colorado State University and Fort Collins community members in complementary and alternative wellness practices related to mind, body and spirit connections.

A mind-body panel discussion will kick off the event. "What is Spirituality?" will be held from noon-12:50 p.m. in Room 228 Lory Student Center. The topic will be explored by a CSU student panel.

A series of more than 20 mind-body workshops will be centered around topics and issues related to mind, body and spirit connections. Workshops will be offered at 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in various locations throughout the Lory Student Center.

The vendor fair will offer an introduction to services, practices and products related to mind, body, and spirit with more than 50 representatives as well as drop-in educational spotlight sessions provided by vendors throughout the afternoon. The vendor fair will be held from 1:30-5:45 p.m. in the LSC Main Ballroom.

Concluding the CSU Mind, Body, Spirit Fair will be a keynote address, "Minding the Body, Mending the Mind" by Joan Borysenko, a trained medical scientist and psychologist with a doctorate from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Borysenko will present information on the intersection of mind/body health science, human development and spiritual growth.
