Harvard Medical School Psychologist to Keynote ‘Explore Mind, Body, Spirit’ Fair Feb. 9

Colorado State University Wellness Programs will hold the 5th annual holistic fair, "Explore Mind, Body, Spirit," Monday, Feb. 9, at the university’s Lory Student Center.

The keynote address for the fair, "Minding the Body, Mending the Mind" by Dr. Joan Borysenko, will run from 6-7:15 p.m. at the Lory Student Center Theatre. Borysenko, a trained medical scientist and psychologist with a doctorate from Harvard Medical School, will provide information on the intersection of mind/body health science, human development and spiritual growth.  

Borysenko, is the author of 13 books and numerous audio programs. Trained both as a medical scientist and psychologist, her doctorate is from the Harvard Medical School where she served as instructor in medicine before founding Mind/Body Health Sciences in Boulder, Colo. A pioneer in psychoneuroimmunology and behavioral health, her work also encompasses practical wisdom on human development and spiritual growth. She is co-founder and director of the Claritas Interspiritual Mentor Training Program, and host of the Hay House radio network’s Your Soul’s Compass talk show.
