Colorado State University Continuing Education Launches New Website

Colorado State University Division of Continuing Education is launching a redesigned website to meet the needs of current students, working professionals and business leaders looking for professional development opportunities, and non-traditional students who want to access a Colorado State education online or at off-campus learning centers. The new website can be found at www.learn.colostate.edu.

The updated site features step-by-step information about applying for admission; resources for students, faculty and businesses; frequently asked questions; and a video library where site visitors can hear from faculty and students about Continuing Education programs. Information about degree and certificate programs is greatly expanded to provide interested students with extensive information about faculty, curriculum, degree requirements and career opportunities.

Improving the user experience was the guiding principle of the project. Enhanced navigation allows site visitors to more easily find answers and get started on their educational journey. Prospective students can now browse degree and course offerings by areas of study, download the complete program guide and catalog and register to receive regular e-mail updates on programs an offerings.

The new website reflects Colorado State Continuing Education’s 40 years of experience with distance education and offering programs to meet the needs of working professionals. The improved visual appeal of the site is a complement to the expanded content and enhanced navigation. It provides a highly-useable site that supports Continuing Education’s mission of providing a Colorado State University education to students who may not be able to attend classes on campus.

"Most of our customers are students who do not have the opportunity to come to campus," said Hunt Lambert, associate provost of Continuing Education. "Our website is their access point to campus. We take the responsibility of giving students a high-quality and warm campus experience seriously."

The Division of Continuing Education at Colorado State University develops and delivers quality programs and educational opportunities in support of the university’s land grant mission with fully online and face-to-face graduate and undergraduate degrees, professional development training, certificate programs, online credit and noncredit courses and industry specific training in Loveland, Brighton, Denver and wherever students are located through online and distance delivery modes.
