Wool Harvesting School to be Held in Brush

Colorado State University Extension and the Montana Sheep Institute invite you to participate in a Wool Harvesting School. The goal of the school is to provide students with basic shearing skills, to effectively assemble and maintain shearing equipment and address the shortage of trained, skilled sheep shearers in the region. There will also be instruction on proper techniques of wool packaging. Equipment will be provided, however, students are encouraged to bring their own equipment.

The beginner school starts Friday, Sept. 25 and will conclude Saturday afternoon, Sept. 26. The school will be held at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, Brush, CO. The cost is $125 which includes educational materials. Registration deadline is Sept. 11. A minimum number of eight students are required. A maximum number of 16 participants will be enforced as individual instruction is a priority.
