MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Colorado State University in Denver to Celebrate CSU-CU Rivalry

WHAT: Colorado State University is in Skyline Park on the West side of the 16th Street Mall today, Sept. 4, and at LoDo’s Bar and Grill this evening to celebrate Green and Gold pride before the CSU vs. CU game in Boulder this weekend.

WHEN and WHERE: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Skyline Park in downtown Denver, on the west side of the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver. This event will be followed by the Ram Rally from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Lodo’s Bar and Grill at 1946 Market St.

DETAILS: The CSU Spirit Squad and CAM the Ram will join Colorado State fans for music, a football toss and giveaways for Rams on the Mall. The university will also display some of its green research and programs, including a cookstove from startup Envirofit International, solar panel from startup Abound Solar and a dress made from recyclable materials. The event is free and open to the public.

At the Ram Rally at LoDo’s Bar and Grill, Jerry Schemmel, the new voice of the Rams, will join CSU fans and friends along with Tony Frank, president of Colorado State University ; Paul Kowalczyk, Colorado State University director of athletics; and Joe Blake, Colorado State University System chancellor. Drink specials, a free nacho bar and a Rams inspired drink will be available to attendees. Please use south side entrance. The event is open to the public.
