Annual Fashion Show Hosted by CSU Students

Colorado State University’s Fashion Group International student chapter will host its annual winter fashion show, “Glamourazzi: Rock the Red Carpet,” at Hodi’s Half Note on Thursday, Dec. 3. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the event starts at 7:30 p.m.

This year’s event includes a runway show and performances by five local bands. The opening band, Fresh Jefferson, will perform at 7:30 p.m. and the fashion show will start at 8 p.m.. Performances by Common Anomaly, Wire Faces, The Big Motif and DJ Jimmy Hands will follow the fashion show.

This year’s fashion show will feature clothing from local retailers, including The Wright Life, Cherish Boutique, Biyazzi, Paperdoll, Carol Mier Fashion, Wild at Heart, Plato’s Closet, The Buckle, Charlotte Russe and student designs.

A new twist to this year’s event is a 48-hour student design competition. Students who participate in this competition have 48 hours to design and complete a garment following a given scenario using jersey cotton. Student designs will be judged at the event for quality and style by faculty members in the CSU Department of Design and Merchandising.

The cost for this event is $5 for attendees older than 21 years and $8 for attendees younger than 21 years.
