‘Connect Mind, Body, Spirit’ Fair Features Keynote Speaker Sarah Susanka at Colorado State University Feb. 10

Colorado State University Health Network and Campus Recreation will hold the 6th annual "Connect Mind, Body, Spirit" fair Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the university’s Lory Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The fair is designed to enhance the knowledge of Colorado State and Fort Collins community members in complementary and alternative wellness practices related to mind, body and spirit connections.

Sarah Susanka will provide this year’s keynote presentation at 7 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Theatre followed by a book signing. Susanka is a thought leader, inspirational public speaker and an acclaimed architect. She is the bestselling author of eight books including “The Not So Big House,” “Home By Design,” “The Not So Big Life: Making Room for What Really Matters,” and most recently,” Not So Big Remodeling.” Susanka’s “Not So Big” message has become a launch pad for a new dimension of understanding, not just in how we inhabit our homes, but in how we inhabit our planet and even our day-to-day lives. The pre-conference Institutes will kick off this year’s Connect Mind, Body, Spirit fair. The Institutes will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. in the Lory Student Center. Topics and locations include:
– Curiosity, Imagination and Transformation – A Soul-full Play Shop Accessing Your Inner Creator with Katherine Skaggs in Room 230;
– Journaling Your Way to Energy Awareness with Lauri Pointer in Room 228;
– Aura-Soma…The Colors of the Soul with Melody Masters in Room 224.

A student panel discussion, “Connecting Spirituality to the Earth’s Environment,” will be held from noon-1:15 p.m. in Room 228.

The vendor fair will be held from 1-6:45 p.m. in the LSC Main Ballroom and will offer an introduction to services, practices and products related to mind, body, and spirit. Mind, Body, Spirit workshops will be held from 2 – 6 p.m. in the Lory Student Center. Fifteen workshops, 60 minutes in length, are available and centered on topics related to the mind, body, spirit connection.
