Colorado State University’s Off-Campus Life 2010 Housing Fair Set for March 10

Off-Campus Life’s annual Housing Fair is from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. March 10 in the main ballroom of the Lory Student Center on the Colorado State University campus.

For 25 years the Housing Fair has provided CSU students with an opportunity to meet property managers, landlords and apartment complex representatives from all around the Fort Collins community. There will be plenty of experts on site to address students’ housing or rental questions and concerns. In addition to learning about off-campus housing options, students can obtain information about pertinent city ordinances, utility options and lease signing. Students will not leave empty handed as door prizes will be given away throughout the day from various vendors around Fort Collins, including the grand prize of a Raleigh Retroglide Cruiser donated by Recycled Cycles, the showcase sponsor of the fair.

”The Housing Fair is a popular event that students can attend to shop for housing in one convenient place,” said Jeannie Ortega, director of Off-Campus Life. “They can collect a ton of information, do comparison shopping, and then spend time over spring break sifting through it all and developing a plan of action. Students new to the off-campus living experience can learn how to avoid common pitfalls unprepared students can find themselves in when living in the neighborhoods.”

The 2010 Housing Fair is a chance for Colorado State University Students to have the local rental market at their fingertips and create a smooth off-campus housing transition.
