Media Advisory: CANstruction Encourages Creativity and Contributions to CSU’s Cans Around the Oval Today

What/When:
Colorado State University’s 23rd annual Cans Around the Oval is underway and cans are starting to pile up because more than 100 university and community groups have signed up to participate.

The next event in the four week food drive is CANstruction from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today, Oct. 13, on the Lory Student Center Plaza. Registered teams compete against each other to build creative structures out of cans and other donated food items.

Details:
CANstruction lets teams demonstrate how resourceful they can be while helping people on campus understand the size and scope of hunger in the community.

All participating groups will receive 100 points toward their food drive. First, second and third place teams will win more points than that. The structures will be judged by representatives of CSU and the Food Bank for Larimer County.
